Default removing noise baffle z400

I just rejetted my z400 and drilled out the pea shooter, and now I am in the process of removing the noise baffle but I can't seem to get it off the snorkle tube. How did you other guys get it off?

thanks,

chuck

there are 2 tabs that it clips into it's pretty simple and obvious just pull the whole snorkle off at the airbox then with it in your hands you should be able to see those tabs.

When you take that noise baffle off, does it make it just louder or does it add power as well?

usually it loses power but its louder so you feel faster On the dyno it gains in some spots but loses in others it really isint worth doing.

If your talking about the noise baffle over the snorkel intake tube, it adds power, if you jet for it. It's true if you remove it and don't jet it will run worse because the motor is getting more air so it also needs more fuel. If you have a slip on and didn't do any airbox mods and rejetting then your really missing out on some cheap power.
