Default Polaris driven clutch

Servicing a Polaris 500HO ATV for a friend and noticed the driven clutch makes a grinding noise when you turn the plates. Familiar with Polaris snowmobiles with similar clutching, but not atvs. I know there are shims in the clutch, and it has the engine breaking system. I noticed this machine has been ridden hard through swamps and it has likely seen some moisture.

Any input appreciated.

Rollers or buttons probably worn down and helix grinding against the inner clutch sheath. What year model?

First year of the ebs clutches. Shows the non ebs clutch also in the parts breakdown. Fairly easy to take down, just compress the helix down and remove the snap ring. Has 3 rollers instead of ramp buttons used on the non ebs clutches. Hopefully not too much damaged.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse

The more I dig into this thing the more I am finding. Thanks for the info on the clutch, I will pull it apart and have a look.
