backfiring

Default backfiring

my z250 has been backfiring a lot ever since i got it. i was wondering if this is normal or what. it happens when im going and i star to slow down for a corner or something. It is getting annoying

It can mean the low speed carb circuit is too lean. Try raising the needle a notch or two

Mine also backfires from time to time but I just had it in to get the valves adjusted and they did not seem to think much of it.....but I don't think that it should be doing it....

back off the air screw 1/8 of a turn at a time.

are you talking about real backfiring that sounds really loud like a firecracker or just those little sputtery sounding backfires that happen a lot?

Mine backfired some about a month after I got it, but lately it has been fine. Your valves might need adjustment.
