I'm so excited. So when I get it I'm gonna get a pipe and a few small thing done to it right then. What is a good pipe to get? I like the big guns, or the sparks. Any other suggestions? I'm also gonna get a set of +2 a arms and some billet tie rods, and a set of works shocks. Any suggestions on the a arms? I ride strictly in the sand, so I don't want anything too fancy but a nice smooth ride over the whoops would be great.

 

The YFZ has good shocks stock... unless you were competing on some kind of racing tour, I can't imagine ever needing or feeling a difference with anything else. I'm getting mine for $7,200 out the door. Thats with tax, license and a 5 year warranty on everything. I'm also getting a set of Sand Skate II's on the cheaper ITP's, and the New Sand Star razorbacks on teh cheaper itp's, and a pipe for that price. the pipe is the gyt-r that is included in the Yamaha speek pack or whatever it's called. I may just run that for a while. But yeah, $7,200 for it to be dune ready is a killer deal. My dad was a professional Motocrosser back in the day and he use to race with the owner of the dealer, so he hooks my family up. I got my wifes blaster for $3,600 out the door with the same deal, and my dad just bought 2 400ex's for under $9,000. If you live anywhere near San Diego, it's worth talking to Smitty at MotoWorld. He is a great guy.

I don't want to hijack the post but in answer to the question about OU at least this thread will get a bump...

I speak for most OU fans in that most of us are really just kind of bewildered... there isn't alot of bluster or pride in the fact that we are in the championship game. That game raised alot of doubts and questions but I've noticed the more time that passes the easier it is to accept it reason it out and move on (I guess thats why no one is still talking about USC and LSU's losses). On the other hand you won't find many OU fans saying we don't DESERVE to be there, it just isn't like we figured it would be. I find it amusing that USC can lose to a JV team like Cal in the beginning of the season and then come after OU for losing its final game against a team that would have beaten USC just as easy. USC doesn't even have to stick their neck out in a conference championship game like OU did. Furthermore OU is a 6 point favorite against LSU and would be more of a favorite against USC... does that make sense? the BCS is supposed to pit the 2 best teams against each other... I feel thats what its done. Rankings are only part of the picture or strength of schedule wouldn't be an issue. OU and LSU are 12-1 which translates to a .923 winning percentage... USC is 11-1 which is a lesser .916. If we are gonna be penalized for risking our necks in a game that only 2 major conferences utilized this year then USC should be penalized for not doing it.

We aren't apologizing for being there and if we win we will have no trouble calling our selves the national champions. And as for a split title... whats with the AP poll anyway... I mean if you are going to hand out your own trophy, why even contribute to the BCS at all? Either you contribute to the BCS and support its system or NOT and do your own thing. I don't get how the AP poll can justify that.

I'm not sure yet on tires but i don't do that much sand ridn so i'm not gonna get any paddle tires. I'm gonna see ho well the stock ones hook up b/f i make a coice on them.


As for national championship I'm an Lsu fan from baton rouge that went to every home game this year. I would have rather seen usc and LSU in the title game after okla lost b/c of all the contraversy that was surrounding those 2 schools on who should go and play okla. I think this is still going to determine the real national champion cause i don't think usc can beat Mich. If Oklahoma thought they had a tough time with k-stae's D wait till they meat the best D in the nation in LSU. Jason isn't gonna know what hit him. People also talk about how weak usc'c schedule was. I don't understand how Okla was so good. Who did they play, Texas. thats just a given win every year. Then when they actually play another good team look what happened a total beating. LSU' schedule would have been better than there's if not for the scheduling of AA west Ill.
That gave a ranking for them as an automatic 117th against our schedule strength. I think this is still gonna be a good game and its what i've waited for my whole life!!!!

yes it was but we didn't have our starting quater back for that game who is the leader of our team. It went downhill for us after we lost him after the florida win. We were stuck playin a descent quaterback but one that doesn't make good descisions. If mauk didn't go down last year we might could of had a season last year like we did this year, we were ridin on a six game winnig streak when he went down and then lost like 3 or 4 of the last five games after. Our d was the only thing that kept us close in those games with out him
