Has anybody tried the Gecko tires on a DS? How did you like them and what size did you try?

 

no. The ITP Sand Star in 22X11X10 are way better.

 

My DS came with the gecko's (I bought it used) they are OK for jus puttin around...they let you power slide fairly easy......but if you want more.......you might try skat trak haulers, or extremes......20's or 22's.....in a 9 paddle......my gecko's are the 20".....I have a set of extreme 20's 9 paddle.........but haven't had a chance to try em out yet......

 

I have a pair and they suck. They have been fun in the snow but for sand I kept on getting stuck, [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] makes you look like a fool... I have only used mine twice in the dunes so don't go by my words alone.

Haulers or Extreme Haulers are the Best tire for the DS

22" tire is what you want.

8 or 9 paddles for a stock to modified bike.

 

Dont know about the geckos, but I bought a set of 20x11x10 Sand Stars by ITP and they are pretty good, they do spin a lot in the holeshot, but they never get stuck. I just ordered a set of skat trac extreme haulers 22x11x10 10 paddle to get more traction. It depends on the riding you are going to do, haulers for hauling a$$ and sand stars for clowning around.

Your only problem is the 04 has a shorter swing arm. With out taking off your heel guards a 22 prowedge will rub.
