12 tooth sprocket on Warrior
#1
I am running a 12 tooth sprocket on my Warrior with 22" Kenda bearclaws for the snow and mud. I am going to run 20" Dunlops for dry conditions. Should I switch to the 13 tooth for the 20" tires? It came with a 12 tooth on it when I got it.

The Warrior comes stock with a 13 tooth. The 12 tooth is for more low end or larger tires. I have not run the 20's yet and I was wondering if the 12 tooth was too low of a gear to run with smaller tires. I have never had a 13 tooth, this is why I am asking.

the sprocket he is talking about is the drive sprocket on the clutch, the one right next to your leg up on the motor. I beleive he said it was a 12, the smaller the front tooth the fastser you go but less low end power you will have, and if he would go to a 13 wich i would do for the snow he will get more revs on the bottom end but will loose top speed. Now if he went to a small sprocket on the rear he will go faster but if he goes with a bigger rear sprocket more low end power. hope this helps.

Think ya got it wrong there man its "The smaller the front sprocket equals more torque but you will lose you top end speed about 5 mph per tooth (on front) The bigger the more top end you will have but you will lose in the Torque department" I hope to get a 12 tooth for my warrior soon how much they set you guys back for a good one? like 15 or so American?

No, I'm running the original sprocket on twenty inch hole shot tires on the rear for all conditions. You will be supprised how well it pulls. I don't think you need to change the sprocket or youll lose top end
