I would say that the Vinson is a better all around performance machine, if you call a 4x4 performance oriented. I would also say the Vinson would be better in the mud because it has lots more power to turn the wheels. The stock tires are horrible for mud though, Thats why I have 27" ITP 589 m/s on my Vinson. It is now virtually unstoppable in the mud. I don't think that the 450 Kodiak would turn the larger, heavier tires as well or efficiently as the Vinson. They really are like comparing apples and oranges because they are different class machines aimed at different needs. Compare the Kodiak better to the 400 class machines, that is really where it shines!

 

i agree, my dad has one and it is very good. The kodiak 450 is only like 429cc or something like that. Theres a big differnce

 

my mate has a kodi 450 and it has more than enough power to turn wheels no problem he has 27 inch tyres its awsome hes gone through mud that my uncles kawi 650 got stuk he also has 27 inch tyres they both atempted it 3 times kodi 3/3 kawi 0/3 iknow your on about vinson but remember the power doesnt all ways mean u wont get stuk. difflocks are good
