i have a 04 baja x and my black **** came off the metal part it is still under warrentyt should i bring it in and have them fix it or would i be able to glue it on or what

 

just put a little super glue on it and stick it back on, if it comes off again, bring it back. I dont know for sure, but is it threaded, if so, just screw it back on with some glue.

 

yes mine has done it to, I just snaped it back in and tried to be more carful the next time. some times it dont feel like its pulling all the out I push it back in and pull it out again sometime does the trick. I feel your pain [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Ditto with my 04 X. I'll try to glue it also. Superglue? Isn't there a better adhesive for plastic and metal?

 

If you guys are good with a welder, I would take the carb off and tig weld a little loop or T on the end and it won't pull off again.

Just a little grove and maybe some adhesive? No knurling or threads.

well i was look at my stock sensor(i'm puttin a oil press. guage on) and wen i pulled back the boot it had some kind of silicon on it, which i plan to put some new stuff on wen i put it back in, does all urs have the silicon on it, like my sensor has never failed(knock on wood)

 

yes i just poped it back on

 

It needs the silicone to keep the water out. That is why they are so worried about using a pressure washer, it will blow the silicone off.
