Just a thought but you might go to a scrap yard or something to find a big piece of pipe and cut it into a 1/3 and use that.

I went to the welding shop today and got a piece of steel and had them put some bends in it and i now have a new plow blade for $20, and its heavier gauge than the manufactured ones. Now I have more money for mods!!

I have seen people bend heavy metal like this by heating one side of it with a torch and tossing cold water on it. It makes an awful noise, but with enough heat on one side of the metal, it can be made to curve. Just like when welding, metal always curves with the heat. I think circle track car guys can set camber into a solid read end with this method also.

We made a snowplow for our Allis Chalmers CA tractor by cutting a piece of pipe. During the summer we used it to push logs off of the 4-wheeler and snowmobile trails.

I made my own plow out of a rider mower blade ( http://waynesphotoes.homestead.com/plow.html ). It wouldn't be strong enough for pushing logs. You could check out an old hot water heater tank cut in half.
