Default Someone needs an @$$ kickin'

I am seeing alot of quads on ebay for 1/2 price. The sellers terms always seem fishy, so I e-mailed one of the sellers and sure enough, it's a scam. The following is the contents of several e-mails between me and the seller. Also I noticed that all of his items have since been yanked from ebay. You'll have to read it from bottom to top for it to make sense.

START AT THE BOTOM

Hi Brad ,
Using an escrow takes just too long for me to collect
my money, which at this excellent price is not acceptable.
My business is just taking off and I don't want to
risk my cash flow at this fragile stage. I can't afford
to have my money/merchandise stuck to third parties for
almost a week because I have to move fast to be competitive.
Those are my terms and if you accept, let me know, otherwise good luck
and thanks for your time. Best regards, James.

I am an honest person as well, but I would be stupid to trust someone I have never met with $3000 of my hard earned money. If I were to pay for an escrow service, would you be willing to sell it that way? You must understand that you are selling a much sought after item for half of what it should cost, so you should be able to understand my apprehension. On the other hand i would really love to own a YFZ 450.
Thanks for your time.

Hi Brad,
I am an honest business person, with an impeccable
reputation. If this deal is going to happen, it will
be done honestly. I am a 55 year old man who owns his own successful
business. I have been married to the same woman for 32 years and
we have two grown suns who are successful in their own
careers. We are all college educated. I didn't get to
this stage in life by doing dumb things. My word is
as good as my written signature.

I want to take this opportunity to assure you that
there is nothing to be worried about this deal. I
would never cheat you or swindle you!!
I have a reputation to protect and a good Christian
and I do not want to be imprisoned. You have my word
and good faith on the fact that I'll keep my end
of the bargain. I have never lied and cheated anyone
and I will not risk my career, my freedom and my future
for anything in the world! I would rather close this deal
with other person than to know that you'll be very stressed
hoping that I am a honest person, until you receive your package.
Your peace of mind is a lot more important than this deal!!!
If you decide not to go through with it there is no
problem. I got quite a few offers left. Please get back to me
and let me know what you decide.
Thank you for your time and interest. Whatever you decide I
wish you good luck. Sincerely, James.

PS. One other option would be to send me just half of the
payment upfront and the rest after you receive your container.

Using your payment methods, how do I know I will actually recieve the quad?

I agree there needs to be some a$$ kicking. I respond to a lot of them. Send them emails telling them i want the quad and will send the money within 6 months. Or i ask them to cash a 2 party check for me. A bunch of losers.

Always ask for the VIN numbers, that will expose them as well.

It pisses me off because I sell stuf on ebay and crap like this makes my life harder. I agree about the "good christian" remark. A good christian wouldn't label themselves as such.

just aks MR. LIAR to fax you a copy of the MSO (manufactures statement of orgin)
so that you can be assured he really has his advertised merchandise. You require
a copy to finalize your bank loan to procure this quad.. right

These people should be prosecuted and hung by the corporate manufactures (Honda and Yamaha)!!
