I have just got a banshee from my friend for a steal. Its a 87 model with all kind of goodies on it.
To start them off it features: Uliminum wheels, Nerfs, Twist Throttle, Race cut Plastics which are
in great condition, Toomey pipes and silencers, White brothers boost bottle, bored 80 over,
ported and polished, Fresh top end with Wiesco forged pistons, 34 mm aftermarket carbs, The
only problem with it is that it needs a CDI box and a rear shock. I sold my polaris to get it.
I couldnt believe this when he told me. He only wanted 750.00 for it. I went and looked at it and
picked it up the next day. I had a CDI so I Pluged it up and it started right up. I havent rode it
much because just got it couple days ago. I was wondering because it has been bored so much will it run hot fast.

theres a pretty good chance that it will run hotter. i can probably garuntee it actually. anyways good luck with it. you will most likely be putting more in to it than you bought it for. but enjoy!!!!

If jetted correctly...there is no reason that the bore will cause it run much hotter.
My banshee has been bored that much for a couple seasons now...It runs fine.

if a banshee is tuned and jetted properly it should start after a couple of kicks

My banshee runs OK in the winter...I keep it in a heated garage...so it starts after only a few kicks....

But there have been many days when we leave the house early..(really cold out..in the teens) then it starts running funny as the day gets warmer....

Usually I can adjust for the temp change with the air screw alone....But if it's more than say three turns or so...I have to rejet.
