what would put our more horsepower?

Default what would put our more horsepower?

what would put out more horsepower an inline twin or a v-twin?

lets say they have the same bore and stroke per cylinder

what makes you ask this question. FACT the inline if driven the exact same way as the V Twin will last longer. but i dont know about the hp[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

I think inline motors produce more torque but i'm not real sure.

I think that would still depend on other factors like the valve set up and carberation and so on.......

An inline is more efficient than a V but on a two cyl. it wouldn't make much difference.

a V design in most instances can produce higher HP with lower torque but not always crank timing degree of cyl's stroke is very critical crank weight theres alot of variable if you have a short stroke v with a very light crank assembly and can feed it tons of fuel and air spin it fast and the HP goes up . Opposing down force on crank shaft. Inline with a Long stroke big strong crank assembly ( Big = Heavy ) Lower rpms lower Hp HIGH TORQUE down force is pushing the same degree of crank rotation
