20" or 22" holeshots on Warrior
#1
Should a purchase 20" x 11 x 9 or 22" x 11 x 9 Holeshot tires for the warrior. I like the lower tire for handling but don't want to give up ground clearance. What's your thoughts???

I have had 22" spidertracs on a warrior (awesome), and I currently have 22" holeshots on my rappy. I like the ground clearance the 22's offer. I use them for strictly woods/trail riding. They are mounted on deep dish rims to help widen the bike a little. If I was doing more MX, I might consider 20" tires,,,,but I dont MX.

Stock is 22" as I recall???? Besides the points you mentioned, 20" will lower your effective gearing, so you will be giving up some top end speed. You live in SD, so I presume you ride mostly desert? My choice would be 22".

i put 22in kendas klaws on to keep ground clearence for trails but i do ride some mx so I droped my front sprocket one tooth to make it still quicker on take off and I like it. Just my 2cents

I just put on maxis razrs on my warrior. I went with 20's cause I figured I get better low end for hill climbs. I ride dirt/sand trails most of the time and not a lot of wide open stuff. I do get hung up a bunch on ruts that other ATV's make. I almost went over the bars once when I high centered. I'd go with the 22's since that is the stock tire size. ANYTHING is better than the factory tire.

Something I noticed when I switched from 22X11X10 Titan trekkers, to 20X10X10 ITP holeshots, was that they are the same size. I wanted a smaller tire for handling and ended up with the same size, although the ITP still works great. Actualy the diameters(height) are nearly same, and the circumferences of the Holeshots are something like half an inch smaller than the Titans. Anyways, I guess Im saying that you should measure before just buying. In my case the tires were free, so I dont care.

Today I checked out 20" & 22" Holeshots next to a stock Warrior tire that was 23x10x9
There wasn't an inch difference between all three with the air pressure the same. I think I'm going to go with the 20" tires. Might lose some speed with the slightly smaller tire height but it might be quicker and handle better
