Default Sputtering and Backfiring...

Well today finally I warmed of the bike and went for a little warm up ride around the yard and what I got was a poorly running bike. At low speeds and idle its rough running with hesitation and backfiring, one BF hard enough to crack the spark arrestor plate

Seems like I cant win sometimes

Any way just recently jetted the bike with the K&N Kit. According to there INSTALL INTSRUCTIONS I need to use a 180 for what MODS I have. Also then Instructed to then turn the mixture screw clockwise till slightly tight then back it off 2 full turns. So this is what I did and the fore mentioned problems was the result. Any thoughts, before I start messing with the mixture screw?

Thanks again guys youre the best.

Turn it out to 3 turns and see if it helps.

Default Sputtering and Backfiring...

I had the same issue. 2 turns out just like the kit said. I had backfire at low rpm. and about three seconds after I shut it down it would always have one more for me. just like clockwork, until I srcewed the idle jet out another 1/2 turn.
