Default Thank Yamaha for keeping the sport alive?

I commonly here that we should all be greatful that Yamaha kept producing performance ATVs even when the government was cracking down. I'm not so sure we should be greatful. Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki kept in the game with light sport quads to keep people pleased, yet not upset the government. But Yamaha kept the high performance machines coming. The other 3 companies are the ones to be thankful for. If they had all kept pumping out high performance ATVs then more and more ATV related injuries would show up not going unnoticed by the government, they very well could have banned the sale of ATVs just like they did with trikes. When Yamaha kept the Banshee in production it was a cheep shot towards all the other manufacturers. I bet it was fun to still be able to perchase a fast quad in that time, but was it worth risking all ATVs?

This is only my opinion, the way I think of it anyways. If you think otherwise I would like to hear what you have to say without lashing out at me or anyone else.

2.@ The time everyone quit making preformance quads yamaha had only 8% of there wealth in this country honda was over 40% and suzuki and kawie were not that far behind. Now you tell me why yamaha did not quit when the rest did .

3.And to be honest yammies only great years of racing were during the period when the rest were napping and those day's are # it will take the rest a tad to catch back up but there on the job now!!!!and trust me honda is going to break some hearts this year

4.And during the down years i had a few yammies the only one worth a plug for reliabilty was the warrior and you know life sucks when the warrior is the best you can build. As a matter of fact i still have my warrior its my throw all the new riders at it bike it can't be hurt
