Yea it's a FCR40, I believe.

 

Works great, you will need a new cable, I believe the one of a Foreman will work. Service Honda sells the carb for pretty cheap. I had a 39FCR on mine, My buddy went with the 40, if nothing else its cheaper.

 

Ok that's cool. I heard the cable off a TRX 300 Utility will work.

 

I rode John Hasshaws (Extreme Fabrication) Quad (Sparks 440 with a CRF carb, 3" wider each side front and rear) over Thanksgiving at Glamis, nice ride, great power. I know this thread is about the carb, but I just loved the way that wide front end would grab the razor backs when your ridge running in the dunes. It was real stable.

 

I have a 2001 400ex with stage 1 hot cam ,full FMF exhaust ,advance timing key , and CDI box . Will the 450r carb work on my quad

 

yes it will you just have to rejet and it will have great throtlle response.

 

The 450r carb won't be to big ??? I also have the k$n air filter I forgot to but that on my last listing.... What power range will the 450r give my 400ex ? By the way what size carb is mine factory ?
