250ex(Help!!!)

Default 250ex(Help!!!)

My 250ex wont start and makes a poping niose when i start it with the choke on

I left the gas of when i started it then turned it on and it started making the noise


any advice

check if you petcock is lined up.... wai no if it keepds making the nouice like clicks untill u stop trying to turn it over ur battery is dead try buying a new one... ur crack can be suck too a good hit on the starter m,ight do it agian

well lets back up here a little bit
when did this start to happen
is it backfiring when you try to start it if so replace the plug
is it turning over
does it sit there and buzzz then charge the battery

My wifes did the same thing. I looked in the book and they show two different spark plugs to use. I also took the spark plug out and it looked like it was not getting enough spark so I narrowed the gap and it runs a lot better now. I hope this helps.

I have had the exact same problem...it was cold so I was using my choke a lot....I changed the sparkplug and it started right up....it has to be the plug....did you use the choke a lot? If you turned it over a lot, you will want to recharge the battery as well....I ran my battery dead before I called a dealership and they told me what to do.

When I used the choke a lot it let me know it by back-firing. I asked the deal-ship about why the book says to use a hotter plug when the temparture is below 40 degrees and he gave me answer only Einstien would know.
