ok...i have had an 87 Quadsport, sold and bought an 87 Quadracer 250. It has maier plastics and hood, FMF pipe/silencer, torque reeds, fast trekker tires, and shock covers. This thing runs very strong, and still has a lot of compression. The question is...if i sold my quadracer, would i be dissappointed with a Z400?? You must understand i wont have the money after buying a new Z to hop it up...maybe some tires or a pipe, but that would be the extent. I am only 15, and everything i have, and will do, with 4 wheelers comes out of my own money. I have ridden 400EX, 300EX, and blasters alot, but never a Z. Im pretty sure my Quadracer could take a Z in a race, but i know it couldnt in the handling department. I really like my 2 stoke, but after ridin all these new 4 strokes, they just seem so much nicer. Anyone...please put in your 2 cents...unless you are just goin to say something dumb...haha

 

Keep the classic and save up for the new one.

 

i sold my 250 tb for a z400.......couldnt be more happier, but i would say sell it now and get the z becuause you dont know what suprises the quadracer could pop up with, then you'll have to shovel out more loot, and hold you back from getting your z. i had a 98 blaster, ran fine for a while and i decided not to sell it, but then the the head gaskets blew, there for i had to spend more money which held me back from getting a new bike. so do yourself a favor and get the z, you'll be more happier with it and like it just as much, i promise you. hope this helps!

Yeah, and as soon as you get the Z, the 450 will be coming out. Then you will want that one. And so on.

 

keep the classic. your piped quadracer would take a piped z400. just put some shocks on it and kick some modern day four stroke ***.

 

First, I wondered if I should sell my LT250 for a Banshee. Then, should I sell it for a 400EX. Then, a Raptor. Then, a Z400. Then, a YFZ 450. Geez, I saved a lot of money so far riding the LT. Getting A arms built for it now. Heck, it's a classic. And beats piped Z400's, gets beat by YFZ's. Get what makes you happy, not what you think you "should" have.

well..even though i will want one of the new 450's....i will not have anywhere close to that much money. I started to think that after the 450's came out, the 400 prices would come way down, so i started to consider one. I know i will have my racer for a little while longer, but im not totally sure if i want to get a new 400. Mostly, i ride trails, any mx i can find, and just messing around in fields and yards. im the only kid i know of that has a 2 stroke, so i like the fact of being different, but i want to start racing mx sometime, and i just want to know what everyone thinks. Thanks.

 

I would keep the quadsport and save up to by the Z400 the quad sport alotough it is not my gfavorite year, they are still a classic, and a pretty funa nd cool machine.
