i think the stock hp is 16-17hp but what do you think each mod would give. like full exhaust and air filter, cams,bored out, what would each do . i just want to get a feel of what mine is probably running

That would put you beside a 400EX in a drag race. Are you beside one [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] ?

I have seen quite a few pipe shootouts for the 300ex and I dont recall any full exhaust ever getting more than 3horse gain. Most were in the 0 to 1.5 horse area but torque and powerband were improved more than anything else. There were even some that lost peak horsepower.

 

sport quad .com did one and short side by side acceleration the 300ex sayed with a 400ex

 

how much hp would a cam give my 300ex what one should i get
