Default air filter

Is the Air filter inside the air box? If so, then if I took off my airbox cap, would I get a power increase?

yes but you would also have to rejet to see the increase in power. but dont just take off the lid, its better to put holes in it, and also concider what conditions u ride in (muddy, rainy, dirt) the air filter will get dirty much faster and need cleaning.
