I'm not a 125cc bike guy, but envisioning a 125cc class bike versus an absolute stock shee lined up to run say Comp hill @ Dumont, I'd put my dough on the bike not the quad. I don't run on flats so I won't lend an opinion on flats.

Would it stomp it royally or just by a few bike lenghts. You know how those dbikes are FAST.
so what modds would I need to beat it, nice top end porting and a decent pipe?

All I really know is that if someone walked up and said we want you to race one of the two machines up the hill, I'd take the bike w/o a second thought. First and foremost, I'd get through the whoops WFO (if present) w/o even having to think about it.

I beat many piped 125's with my Z400. At the time I also had an HMF slip-on.
A shee can beat a Z400 with a slip-on no problem. Introduce the whoops like selector said, get off the quad and on the bike.

A stock 250f will beat a stock 125 anyday!! I know for a fact the 250f will beat a banshee!!!! I've done it many times!!! Now i'll put my little 285 against any stock quad made to date on a drag comp hill, olds hill, you name it!!!

I can say from experience since my friend and I have done this exact race. My Yz was stock except for a pipe and silencer, but he also had a duncan built banshee. I would jump him off the line every single time on the bike, but once he hit the meat of 2nd gear he was gone..... I'd say with a stock shee' he'd have still taken me eventually, but it would have taken a little higher in the gears to get by me. As others have said, In the whoops.....forget it the bike is gonna walk all over any quad out there. Even against an 85cc dirtbike no quad has a chance in the whoops.

the shee wouldnt stomp it but probably would beat it, bikes usually are faster than quads.

At the Pikes Peak Hill climb race July 2003 the shees beat all bikes, this includes 500's 750's. The quads have beaten the bikes up the 10 mile hill climb the last three years.
