Old switch had wires to microswitch in shift lever mounted horizontal. New switch is smaller and mounted in a square fashion. If you install switch so that the purple wire is closest to the engine, it will be on top and no wire next to it. This way will save you taking that damn spring mounted cover off to rotate the damn switch!!
