Just wondering when you guys bought yours and how long before the one way went south and the trannies. What is the riding areas like, sand, mud, loose dirt, hard terrain, trails.

I bought mine the last week in July of 2000, a week late birthday present from me. Do a lot of trail riding and some other stupid stuff. Only problem that I have had was the Carb boots blowing off this past year. Two weeks later my stepdad's H-D Road King did the same thing and I could fix it for him.

I bought mine Dec 23, 2000 and the one way went out this last Aug. I replaced the tranny and one way this Christmas, although the trans was not giving me a problem, I changed it after my buddies 01 went. So all in all I have been very happy with my 01 Raptor. I have raced one season of Flat track with it and will be starting my second season of Motocross without any major problems.Take Care and ride safe.

Picked mine up in Sept of 2000. It probably has less hours than most in the forum,
but over those 3+ years, its been through heavy trail riding, hill climbing, rail-road bed
and open road WOT races/runs , and a full season of 300ft dirt dragging - and Im still
on the original tranny and oneway with no problems noticed at all. Never had my carb
boots blow off either. The only problems Ive had, are the Choke plunger spring rotted
a couple times, but Ive replaced that with the updated waterproof one - perfect now, and
the occasional sputtering when trailriding up very steep and slow climbs.. which I assume
is from slightly high fuel level in the carbs.

Right now, its in my basement completely stripped down, and the engine is pulled and
being prepped to send to Craycraft for a 686 Noticed no problems what-so-ever after
teardown - everything is beautiful ! I hate to hear others with not-so good luck with theirs
but mine seems to be bulletproof so far. I aint bitchin ( knock on wood).

I have 3 01's and they are all on the original trans and one way's. We do not baby them either. I will be putting 02 gears in them this year along with a few other little things. Other than self inflicted problems these 3 01's have been flawless.

My 01 I bought in June of 2000 and recieved it in Dec. It has been a good bike. The 1 way is stock and the trans was working good when I changed it. I upgraded to the 02 when I went to a 686. I almost wished I wouldn't have I liked the 01 gear ratio's better.

My 2nd one way seems to be going out....but tranny still seems to run smooth. I don't beat the heck out of it when drag racing and I try not to use the revese abusively.

Bought mine Jan of 2001. My 727 is still on the original one-way, and the trans was working fine when I upgraded to the 2002 gear set.

Black white Raptor

Bought June 2001,

Tranny gave way November 2002.

Rod blew through the cases April 2003

Replaced one way at the same time I rebuilt the motor from the rod failure.

Blue Raptor

Bought June 2001

Replaced failed one way with LA Desiges one way a few months back.

Replacing broken fingers on clutch basket now and oil pump gear along with cam gear guides.

With all the crap that was in the motor I'm sure more things will be replaced soon like the tranny.
