I need a summer project...
How about putting a motor like a 500+ HP turbo GSXR1300 in the DS650 frame?

Ha Ha!
That would be crazy fast.
If you were actually seriously going to do this, try to find a wrecked GSXR 1300 with a good engine, or maybe something a little smaller and spend your cash from there. If you have the BILL$ to spend then I say go for it.
Dont forget to add in the cost of painting flames on the DS........LOL.....
Have fun and if you are actually gonna try this, keep everyone posted..........

Scooby-I too have thought about building a insane sportbike motored quad. It just so happens I have a totally wild (built to the max) 1995 Kawasaki ZX-11RR sitting in my garage. It took me 2 years to build and I estimate to have around 150-175 HP at the rear wheel! I am thinking of building a hillshooter, but I was thinking of putting it in a quadzilla frame.

I seen a Quadzilla with at GSXR 1300 engine in it at Florence about four years ago. Not with 500+ horsepower, I think it had nitrous though.
It would do about 130 mph and leave a rooster tail of sand like an unlimited hydroplane does with water!
Good luck,
