has anyone done this mod?? If you have what did you gain/loss?? Any one try Sparks cams yet?

WHat is the grey wire mod?

 

Its a mod that works on the Wr450F dirtbike. I believe the grey wire has something to do with retarding the ignition.......I don't remember exactly.....my dirtbike days are getting a little fuzzy.....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

The Grey wire mod pertained to the WR450. The YFZ and WR are very close in comparison but still different. On the WR if you cut the grey wire it would advance the timing to the YZ specs, but it is not recommended on the YFZ450 because it has a different ignition. It will not work. Just get YZ cams or do the mod, get an aftermarket ignition if you need more revs. The YFZ is a powerful quad with just a pipe, jet, airbox mod, cam mod. Hey throw in a little a little TC racing porting and you gotta rocketship set for mars.
