Default I hate not being able to make up my mind!!!!

I have gotten rid of my raptor and I am about to purchase a house! After thats all set and done I am going to be buying a new ATV. Part of my wants another sport quad and part wants a utility quad. The hard part is the riding I do is 50/50, one half is muddy nastly trails and very long rides where a nice new Grizzly would be the weapon of choice, the other half I have some jumps set up in a big field and I like to go there and jump, race, and wheelie all day long. Its going to be at least september or so before I buy a new one, but I am trying to figure out which way to go. So far either one I choose, it will be great for half of the riding I do. I wish I could afford both, but only one for now. I am most interested in the Yamaha Grizzly on the utiliy side and I think the 04 Predator or a Z400 on the sport side. Way different machines I know....still hard to decide!!!

I tottaly suggest the 04 Pred. Where a sport quad on those trails you can maybe try to manage and get around. But to me theres nothing like the thrill of jumping and racing. Exactly why ill never get a utilty. But thats JMO. It depends on what you prefer more really.

it sounds like you would really enjoy ridin another sport quad. maybe you oculd get a sport one, and save up then later get a utility. cuz no utility will wheelie or jump like a sport quad. i like the predators, but what about a yfz450?

YFZ is cool. But I did not enjoy my trail ride experience with the one I rode. The Predator will be extremely user friendly in the trails. YFZ will jump a little better but NOTHING a predator cannot achieve.

I would take the pred over the new yamaha, but I think I am gonna go grizzly and then later on get a used bike for the fast riding and jumping. All I ever had growing up was bikes, the only reason I ever got the Raptor was because all my friends had quads and none had bikes. I could still trail ride with them on the grizzly and then smoke them at some jumps on a bike! I do miss the bikes alot they sucked on alot of the trails we ride. I really like what the utilities are capable of now and it would come in handy working around my new house I am about to buy!

Maybe you can get a new Raptor next year or something. Other then the one problem you had with the one you sold, was anything else bothering you about the Raptor.

Nope the DRZ is gone, I really miss that bike!! I would not buy another Raptor as of now. I found out what happened in the engine as well, second gear went just like the 01s!!!

That quad and bike idea is a good idea. But I still kinda suggest have one quad that can do everything. Pred can jump great, Raptor can too. Maybe an 04 and there will be no problems. Are the trails that bad where its near impossible for a sport quad to get too??

No they aren't that bad, but I ride double alot and its gets pretty hard after a long ride getting beat up on a raptor with 2 people on it.
