battery not holding charge

Default battery not holding charge

hey i just bought a new battery for my 1996 yamaha warrior. i filled up the electrolite and now it wont hold a charge. could it be that i didnt fill each one up to the same height? i looked and am charging it again but i dont think that that is it. any help?

As long as you were close to being evenly filled, then youre ok.
Try to charge with a trickle charger, you need a low amperage charge.
If you have a specific gravity type battery checker, check each cell.

I have always been told u have to slow charge the battery when u first fill it.2 amps,but that is just what i have been told.

How long did you let it charge?? Also, most batteries have some sort of standard warranty so you might want to check that out just in case.
