To get the ball joints off the easy way, loosen the nut upor take it off. Get a hammer a hit the area that the bolt goes thought a few times. Don't hit the bolt this might mess up the threads or the ball joint if you want to use it again.
Do you under stand wear I am saying to hit? I was shown this at a national when we had to change a A-arm and I could not get it apart. He hit it 2 or 3 times and it came apart.

Why would you go through all the expense of installing new a-arms and attempt to change over your 14 year old ball joints from the origonal arms? I am sure by your posting that these units are going to be thrashed as well as potential damage to your OEM arms ( A HAMMER, A TORCH????)
These are steps you take when you don't care about the parts. You either need a press with the proper adapters or an automotive style ball joint tool.
Or if you want to do it right, just buy new units and PRESS them in. Most machine shops can handle this.

I think he is talking about getting the ball joint out of the spindle like getting the bolt lose from the spindle.
