Default Paddle Tire Size for KFX400

Hi All,

New to Sand Tires, etc. I am planning on buying Sand Star tires for my Stock KFX400. I am pretty much a recreational rider, not much in to racing. Do you think I should use 20, or 22" tires, and what is a fair price. I have been quoted 441.60 for tires and 22x11x10(Rear) and 22x8x10(Front) C series polished aluminum rims. Are the sizes appropriate, or should I get 20's? I am a pretty big guy about 250lb, and just want to make sure I get something I will be happy with. The dunes they will be used at mostly are pretty small Moses Lake Wa., but I go to southern Oregon 2 x per year.

Thank Allot for you input and help

Shane

use the 20in wheels if your bike is below 400cc

22in if it is above 400cc, 22in with a 400cc bike wont have enough power to get you going

I say go with the 20". The 22" will raise your "effective" gearing, and out in the sand you need all the torque you can get. Plus, tall tires (for better ground clearance), isn't as important in the sand as it is out on the rocky trails.
