My ramsey owners manual says to mount the solenoid within 24 inches of the battery.
I put it under the seat.

Now when I go to connect the wiring from the motor to the solenoid the (black MOTOR lead )and the (black/yellow stripe MOTOR lead) wires are to short (24 inches) not even close to the right length.

Both (BATTERY lead wires red and black) are 72 inches long?

I have checked the wiring diagram over and over and it says the same thing.

To sum it up the directions and diagram for my winch seem to be misprinted backwords?? I need 72 inches of Motor lead and only 24 inches of BATTERY wire????????

 

Update:

On page 9 of the ramsey owners manual it says to mount the solenoid within 24 inches of the battery. On page 15 it says to mount the solenoid within 24 inches of the motor. I am confused as to where I need to mount the solenoid.
