who here owns, or knows someone who owns a 400 4X4 bayou? what causes the reverse cable to stop working?

 

It could just be out of adjustment. I’m assuming the set up is like that on a 300… you only need to loosen the two nuts on the reverse cable down at the transmission. Next adjust the amount of play in the cable then retighten the nuts.

 

I have a 98 300 bayou and will be working on it this weekend. I have seen the lower end of the cable and there isn't any adjustment there. Will inform you if I find anything else.
