what mods can i do to my 2004 scram for more power besides pipe, clutch kit, airbox mod, nitrous, and fst kit. Any cheaper solutions? IM going to do pipe, airbox mod, nitrous and fst kit. What else could i do. ANd im making nerf bars for it. any tips would be cool

 

New rims and tires, Handlebars, lights, romove the mud flaps, bumper, rack or grab bar, skid plates, chain tensionor, steering damper, flame seat. UM performance makes some sweet aluminum accessories for the scram. If you have the time or energy, you can remove the powdercoat from the radiator gaurd and polish the aluminum.........or get a polished one form UM. Powdercoat is a PITA to remove, so I just painted mine. I bought some really small LED lights that I put on my Harley. They are real trick looking and you cant even seem them. But they kick out some major light. I may add some to the scram. It would look kinda cool at night seeing a red streak flying through the woods[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Ya, I have a scrammy 500...4x4.....and the only thing I can say is the stuff your doing to it now is the best...but on my scrammy...weight is a problem 550 #s give or take on dry weight...so anything you can do to lighten it up will help a lot....tires are a biggy..do some research and you can shed some good pounds with rims and tires...other than that..don't know any secret super hp gains for cheep....get a higher ratio piston if your not already...racing gas is salty but everything counts in your case

 

u could convert to alcohol, get a bigger carb, different cams(if they make them), i'v also heard of stroker kits?

Is there much differance between the 400 scrammy and the 400 sportsman engines? How much of this crap ( except the nitros) can I put on my sportsman?

400 Scrammy is 2stroke and the 03 400 is a 425 4stroke.Totally differant animals.

 

OK, OK... Now that i feel like an @$$, I had to go get my Feb.'04 dirt wheels mag and look at an ad (Aaen Perf. pg. 186). MY MISTAKE! Wouldn't you know it had a picture of four stroke components and the words "500" Scrambler next to it. So why the hell would you make one size a 2 stroke and the big brother a 4 stroke?!
The only reason I keep asking questions about Scrammy parts fitting a Sportsman is I WANT MORE POWER!!!!
