Denton A-Arms on a Banshee
#2
This is an old trick that the circle track boys have been doing for years to fit ford balljoints on thier chevy control arms. It is a simple proceedure but if you have never done it and don't have the tool you should let someone else do it. I would recommend finding a good machine shop in your area(preferably one with some race car experience) and take them your spindles and your new a-arms and tell them what you want them to do. That way they can measure and ensure a good fit. Or you can send your spindles to Lonestar in Arizona, however, I have heard more bad than good when dealing with them. I have no experience myself with them. Good luck and let me know how that thing handles!

Hey!Just ask Denton Racing to find out the size of the reemer approx. The reamer truely doesn't just ream one size. After getting the approx. size order the reamer through a Snap-On tool salesman or such.I've reamed mine and its simple. My buddy ordered his reamer through a snap-on man like i said.Give me a day and I'll get the part No.The ball joints from Denton are super heavy duty, making it well worth the effort of reaming.Laegers and Beguards use a cheap ball joint that requires reaming of the spindals on the yamaha models but they bend, break, and the nuts they provide strip-out.I've seen it happen alot already this year.My Denton A-arms have been through heck and still haven't bent.Lonestar A-arms use the same heavy -duty ball joint I think.Part No.R121 from Snap On

Thanks a lot. I found a reamer at a local wholesale tool shop here in town. It worked perfectly. I reamed the spindles and all is installed. I have to adjust it this weekend.
Also, I called Denton and asked them how far the ball joints should extend from the a-arm. He said that they screw them ALL the way in. He also said that he gets calls where guys have them out from an inch or more and bend them. Just thought I'd pass that along.
Denton Racing called me today to inform me that my TCS shocks have come in. These guys are top notch. They told me it would take a month...and it ended up being 3 weeks.
