clutch feathering

Basically clutch feathering is used in corners. It's where say, you're in 3rd gear from the straight. You start into the corner, but instead of shifting down to 2nd, you just pull in the clutch a tad back and forth to keep the revs up and the motor in the meat of the powerband. It won't take long to know how much to pull in the clutch. You just have to know your machine, how your clutch freeplay is set up, etc. I like to feather the clutch and leave it in the same gear when possible-doing this correctly should save time from shifting up.
As for the whoops, I would say they are the hardest part of a mx track to master. Basically, the first few runs over them, kind of half jump them to see how much throttle is needed to double or triple them if possible. The key is timing. And lots of practice. And it really helps if you have good aftermarket suspension. That is what gets you around the track faster. Get that before motor mods.
Well this was long enough if you have any more questions just ask away.
