second, i recieved this email today and wanted to post it as soon as possible. please read it, & if interested in the race send a reply to Mr. Waters. his contact info is at the bottom.

Just got off the phone with a gentleman in Heppner, OR. You may or may not know they have a new OHV park in Heppner. 6,200 acres that is privately owned by the County. They purchased it mainly with Oregon ATV funds.
Anyhow the local club which is brand new is planning a race and Poker run there on May 15th and 16th. Right now the race on Sunday is a 100 mile race and they are being helped by a Motorcycle Club in Portland called Lobos therefore it is currently a M/C only race on Sunday.
He is not against ATV’s but they happened to hook up with this club to put it on. He questioned whether there was any interest in this area for ATV Cross Country races. He said they would not be against it at all if there was enough interest. He invited me to come to their meeting on Feb 18th and talk to the club.
So I guess I would like to find out if your interested and if so do you know others that might be interested. Please have them send contact info to me and I will collect.
I would like:

I spoke to Dean today he said that the race is on May 16th. Its a 25 mile loop 4 times. He is going to send me more info when he gets some.
He also mentioned the spring race at Horn Rapids. I told him I wold not be going due to what happend there at the 2003 fall race.
I also told him if the local ATV group set one up over there then I would be at that one.

Dual,
Have the forum readers contact the event host, not Dean Waters. It will carry a lot more weight if the event host is contacted by people. If it goes through waters it will appear more like a petition than anything.
Why don't you post the event host's contact info there?
