I have not seen one in a 400ex frame but I have a cr500 in my suzuki lt250 frame so Im sure you should be able to do it without to much trouble

I have one in a 400ex chassis. To do it right, it takes quite a bit of fabrication and problem solving. Not a project for the faint of heart for many reasons.

400ex+cr500= stress cracks in the frame/busted motor mounts and numb hands and feet...

Cracks - Not if done right.... If you try to cheeze out and attach like a stock engine using 1/8" sheet metal mounts, then yes....

Vibration is only significant at higher RPMs - I'm working on reducing it on mine at the pegs - the bars are not a problem if tackled correctly.
