Default boots?

Im in the same boat, shopping for new boots. Through my research I found that sidi has a new boot called the force, comes in two models force SRS (replaceable sole system), the force (standard sole. Both have a adjustable calf system, I have yet to try them on but from the reviews I read online, it sounds promising. Check out Motonation for more info. I tried on about six different boots last week, alpinestars wouldn't buckle, although you can get longer straps, the fox boots where a closer fit the alpinestars, and the oxstar fit in the calf but the foot felt narrow and I didn't care for the overall boot design. If anyone has the Sidi Force boots, let me know what you think.

Ive never been comfortable with MX boots of any kind. The best ones that I have tried are the Alpinestars ATV boot - used them once. I think a good half or full top leather boot without a steel toe is whats needed for dune riding. Go get a decent pair of Red Wing boots without a steel toe and you'll be good in my opinion.

Danner boots are also another option. I ride in both but depending on how much walking I will be doing I prefer the more cofortable hiking boot. I like the mx boots in the dunes though.
