Twist Throttle That Great for racing?
#1
I am getting into racing, and if I get a quad,(maybe 400ex??) I was thinking about twist throttle? I mean, some people say they are good, and others say there ok, but what is the real use for them in a race? like, why can you not just use a thumb throttle? If they help, then how much?

I hate my twist throttle. Im used to it so im not going to change it but I would DEF. rather have a thumb. the only thinga twist is good for is if your carb has a stiff spring it wont make your thumb sore.

i have a twist throttle and i really dont think that there is much difference unless you like to jump alot then i would go keep a thumb throttle but i think the twist is much more comfortable.

Not many folks like the twist throttle however, one injury that seldom happens when riding with twist-throttles is broken thumbs; this happens often when using thumb throttles and sprained thumbs are routine.
