The OEM suspension bushings are of a soft rubbery material that has a lip-seal on outer end. With the weight of the SP, the bushings compress somewhat and the lip-seal no longer seals allowing grunge to enter the bushing assembly. I have 1300 miles on my machine and already the aluminum spacers that reside inside the bushings and the bushings are worn. After each water ride I grease every zerk on my machine with the OEM grease.
I believe that harder bearing material, like nylon would stand up better than the original rubbery s%^t.
Does anybody know of a better bushing that will stand up longer? Has anybody else had similar problems?
