just wandering if you guys now how dirtwheels could dyno the yzf 450 in the october mag. with a fmf full exhaust system at 37 horses but against the honda and gas gas in stock form it was 39.3 horses. just another reason you can't believe them.

my vt800 motor puts out 105hp so i wouldnt see why the 450 wouldn't be about half that sense its about half the size of mine.
Im looking at a 660 raptor my cousin has right now. its faster than i thought it would be and might be my next ride. I may go and look at a 450 now thoh sense that seems to be the hot ride right now. How muh do they cost and whats the warrannti on one new

You guys, you can't compare two different machines running on two different days. Each dyno manufacturer's machines will run different, and different machines from the same dyno manufacturer will be different. Also the ambient air conditions vary continuously.

Dynos are a tool for tuning purposes only, and are useful due to the ability to compare consecutive runs from engine modifications and jetting adjustments. No two runs will likely be the same, even if run back to back. Many people can vouch for all this.

YFZ msrp is around 7k and all yamahas, along with almost every other foreign atv manufacturer, offer only a crappy 6 month warranty. Extended ones are usually availible from a local dealer, but these can be sketchy and should be approached with caution.

Great post maddog. Couldn't have said it better myself.

One thing though. The YFZ only comes with a 90day warranty.

90 day warranty huh? And I thought the 6 month term was too short, lol.
