true & welding my own banshee crank

ok from what i have seen when i got my cranks back from gettin them trued and welded, it looks like they just tack weld it, u think it is possible for me to be able to do tht, i know a good bit about welding, but i am a little uncertain about trueing it, is that just getting it alined?>

well trueing a crank is pretty complicated, so unless you have the machinery to do this, I suggest just let them do it. they would probly give you a shop tour and show you how the process is done if you ask!

from what i understand, they actually weld it twice because anytime you add heat to something it will move, so they true it to zero, weld it a little, measure how far the crank moved, break the weld, offset the crank by how much it moved and weld it aging and hope it comes out right.
