Default Good by to 2-strokes?

I was just wondering if there is any new news on the 2-stroke topic. I know its ben asked before. i was just wondering whats new. I am going to get out of high school in 2006. Then go to college for 2 years for fire science. In 2008 will they still be around, or should I buy a Banshee now? If so any Banshees out there for sale?

Spoony, 2-stroke won't be going anywhere. Ski-Doo has made a snowmobile that is a 2stroke and passes regulations. The 2-strokes that we have now will probably change alot but won't be dissapearing anytime soon. If i were you i would buy a banshee now, that way you have one. Even if the 'new" 2's come out and pass regulations than who knows what kind of power change we will be left with. If you want to take the risk then i would stick it out until 2006 and see whats new then.

Hey Spoony, where are you going to study fire science? If you are looking for a four year degree, I would suggest that you look at Oklahoma State University's Fire Protection and Safety Technology degree program. OSU is widely recognized as the best fire school in the country. I plan on getting back and finishing my degree as soon as I can. Here's the address of the Fire Protection homepage:

http://fpst.okstate.edu/

Plus, if you go there, you'll only be two hours from Little Sahara in Waynoka. Look at my pics. There are tons of places to ride around Stillwater, too.

Here's the address for the OSU Fire Protection Society. Check out the pics.

Sorry to get off topic, y'all, but I gotta help out a fellow fire guru!

thanks for the info. I am probably going to stay in state for school. A local college has a good fire program. My brother just graduated a year ago, and got a job within a month of graduation. From what I hear it is the best school in the state. Whats the difference between the two and four year degree?

A two year degree is an Associate's Degree. It's good for getting your foot in the door, but you should continue your education to earn a four year degree. That is a Bachelor's Degree. It is much more thorough in the course of study. The last two years of a BS (bachelor's of science) is spent primarily in your major, with electives on the side. It will also help you get more money when you get a job. If you have a school that is local and offers an Associate's, I say do it. After graduating, you could go directly to a university, or after working for a few years, you could enroll into a Bachelor's program. Plus, you could possibly get a Master's later on down the road (which is my plan). Good luck in school and study hard. Tests aren't impressed with your ability to consume mass quantities of beer! Believe me, I know.

2-STROKES ARE THE ONLY WAY TO GO...I HAVE 2 TECATE-4'S AND I'LL BE THE FIRST TO SAY WHY KAWASAKI STOPPED MAKING THEM...LIABILITY REASONS....THESE THINGS ARE REAL FAST I USED TO HAVE AND LT250 AND A BANSHEE AND THESE THINGS ARE FASTER THAN BOTH....DON'T GET ME WRONG I WILL NEVER KNOCK ANY 2-STROKE QUAD I WISH THEY WERE STILL IN PRODUTION TODAY.....IF IT AIN'T SMOKE'N YOU AIN'T RIDE'N
