cat 650 limp mode plug

hello everyone
i was reading a post about a limp mode plug that a/c offers part #046-161 my dealer has no info on it i was wondering to bypass the trip sensor would i just unplug the trip switch and connect the wires together or leave them apart any info would be greatly appreciated you guys usually know what can be done and not done i don't want a limp mode 40 miles away from camp at 6:00 at nite thank you for your input bob....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

the list for the limpmode plug is about 9:00$ but my dealer is having a hard time getting one he say's they are on back order hope they come in soon bob[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

Limp mode is activated when the computer senses a problem, in this case with the drive belt, & normal operation is terminated to keep the vehicle from hurting itself! about 9 to 10 mph is as fast as the vehicle will go (in high range)
