Default OH BABY!!!

I recently got my first four-wheeler! A Raptor 660. It's is awesome! But I kinda want to know whats the best thing to do to improve the handling, it is alright, but my friend is getting a Predator and I want to compete. Also, how many problems did the Pred have in '03. BTW, my Raptor is a '02 w/ a Stage IV Exhaust and K&N filter, and Snad tires. But, what is the best way to practice a wheelie. Thanks

Best way to practice a wheelie? Get out on a flat piece of ground and keep trying. You have to keep at it until you find the balance point. Dont be afraid to go higher.

For around $100 you could get wheel spacers and widen it up 4 or 5 inches but I would not recommend them especially if you do any jumping. Many companies also sell lowering kits, which actually change the position of the shock, making the quad sit lower. Again these kits are not recommended for jumping. If money is not a problem, I would get an extended axle and extended a-arms. If you do alot of hardcore riding, you will find that widing up the front end makes the suspension way to soft, so you might need aftermarket suspension. Check ebay, people on there sell stuff brand new for $100's under retail. You could probably get the a-arms, tie rods, axle and shocks for around $1200 if your lucky.

but with wheel spacers you run the risk of them braking and killing yourself

why does everybody say starting out w/ a raptor, pred, banshee, etc. will git u killed???? first off, ppl aren't a stupid as u think (well, ok, some). secondly, most ppl can't afford to buy one quad, get used to riding, and then buy another one. these things aint harleys, the value depreciates quickly. so for everybody who's never owned a atv (me) and plan on buyin a raptor, pred, banshee (me) etc. go for it!

carguy07, If you were going out to buy a dirt bike with no experience riding one, would you buy a KTM520, KX/CR 500, etc? Most people wouldn't. But these same people will go and buy a raptor, DS, banshee, etc which are the fastest in production. They think because it has four wheels that they can handle it.
