Whats your opinions, without flaming anyone's product too much. All terrains from the Arizona deserts , to the Rocky Mtn. of Colorado, Paiute Trail in Utah, Mtns. of New Mexico, & major trails in Oklahoma, Arkansas, & S.E. Missouri. Lots of you folks have been & live in these places & have ridden these trails. Who better to listen to than " someone who's been there & done that "
I really don't want to go too aggressive with my tires & sacrifice ride comfort & handling. IMO , 1/18" tread depth on the XT's would be plenty for my purposes. I' ve did a little homework & have gotten some good information on several forums. Now for the wheels.LOL. Jerico1

I recently put 26” Dirt Devil XTs on my Grizzly (similar suspension setup as the 650 Cat) and so far I like them better than the ATR Holeshots that I had on before them (and of course the stock tires) for general purpose trail riding. They do not grip as well in loose conditions (snow / mud) as my 27” 589s but they provide better mud traction than the Holeshots and more importantly (for me) allow the IRS Grizzly to power slide around corners much easier than before (the Holeshots wanted to grip rather than slide, and the IRS amplifies this effect more than a solid axle quad would). However my final verdict is still out, I need to take them on a Hatfield McCoy run before I can form a final opinion about them (which will be in April at the latest). So far most of what my Dirt Devils have seen are snow, mud and frozen ground, and they do very well in those conditions…

2TV, Thanks for your reply on the Dirt Devils. Most of my riding will be on dirt trails, which at times will be wet & muddy, but mostly dry. Hard to slide my AC around too. It just wants to grab & take off. Easy on slick trails though. I'm kinda caught between the Dirt Devils & Goodyear Mud
Runners, two completely different tires i know. Also the word is Maxxis is coming out with a 27" Bighorn soon, I'd like to see one. Not that i'm that much interested in changing from a 26". I have plenty of ground clearance now & seat height is already high enough on the 650 AC's. You will surely give the Dirt Devils a good test at HM. Anyone running Mud Runners on their quads, i'd like to hear from you too,( not you Bearcat, i know you love your Mud Runners, LOL).
Regards, Jerico1
