jetting on stock blaster???
#1
I really dont know anything about jetting and would appreciate it if somebody could help me learn the basics of adjusting a round slide carb. Anyone know exactly how to jet the stock carb on a blaster? I have only found what looks to be an idle adjustment screw. I could not find an adjustment on the main jet (clip adjustment).

the only way to "adjust" jetting is to change them manually, there are 4 curciuts to the jetting system:
air screw: controls idle and slightly off idle
pilot jet: controls off idle to 1/4 throttle
needle and clip position: controls 1/2 to 3/4 throttle
Main jet: contols wide open throttle
if your not familiar with how a carb works, a clymer manual explains the basics and is a good place to start if your contemplating adjusting the jetting on your carb.

to get to the main jet unscrew both claps on each side the turn the carb upside down and unscrew the float bowl and inside theres is a hex shaoed screw just unscrew and screw the new one in thats all i kno and there is no idle adjustment screw its a thing u can adjust with ur fingers pull the rubber flap up and its right there the that that big hunk of metal that sticks up out the top of the carb

it's actually pretty easy once you get used to doing it. I suggest that you read up on how a carb works, take yours apart and get to know how things work and how to take it apart and put it back together again. Read this It explains it really well. After reading this it should be pretty easy. If you have any more questions just ask
