Don't buy a new quad in California that is a Red Sticker vehicle. Red Stickers are issued to quads made after 2002 that don't meet emissions standards. (The same quad in 2002 and earlier still gets a green sticker.) In most areas in California they can be ridden only during certain seasons. Some of the seasons are only two months long.
