New AC650 strange problem
#1
I went to pick up my new AC650 from the dealer and before I loaded it on my trailer I decided to take a "spin" and after 1/8 of a mile I got stock and my dealer couldn't start my 650 again. He found out that the gas filter were all black and deteriorated. Now I am concern that the engine got damage too. Do anyone experience such problem?

AVIG, Never heard anything likt that anywhere from anybody, & you'll have a lot of us 650 Cat owners & owners to be on the alert, thanks for the heads up. Its probably an isolated incident, or at least we all hope it is. Keep us all posted & give us the details on the results. Would your dealer be willing to exchange with another one? Or is it gonna be a simple fix, i hope so. Don't be discouraged, you just purchased one helluva quad. Deal with the problem & move on out.
Congratulations on your new Arctic Cat 650 V Twin. We will be waiting to hear from you again, on the AC forum, or elsewhere. Regards, Jerico1

I see you are from Israel & maybe Cat left some fuel in the system when the 650 was shipped. I would have your Dealer completely drain the gas tank, remove the carbs & also give them a complete cleaning. You may also want all of the fuel lines replaced just to be on the safe side. Change the plugs, put in some fresh fuel & go riding.
You will really like this Cat 650, they are a blast to ride.

Thanks to you all,
The dealer told me that somebody by mistake put in the gas tank battery fluid. He replaced the fuel pump and it workes but the carburator is full open so now he ordered new carburators. I asked for a new 650 and he told me that if the problem will not end with the new carburators he will give me new 650 and he is willing to put it in writting, I think it is fair enough. The only thing I am concern is what is the damage for the long run, I got 2 years warranty but who knows ........
Thanks again
Avi
P.S the filter and the fuel pump located inside the fuel tank
