Which swingarm skid replaces the stock plastic unit?

Default Which swingarm skid replaces the stock plastic unit?

I'm looking for one that gets rid of the stock plastic unit and fits up with little or no fuss, any recomendations?

I'm not sure about the '04 units. For the older ones, I really like the Pro-Armor ones. They bolt right over the plastic ones and is easy to install. I like that fact that I have two skids before I bend something important. It also is .250 thick and takes a beating. I have tried a .190 riccochet, but it bent after the first ride and was a lot more hassle to install.

Well depending on what kind of quad you have, I know the Armadillo ones are .250" aluminum and fit well. Reasonably priced too.

I have a DG. Itlooks good but I dont recommend it. Man it was a b!tch to install. Id go with the Pro Armor.

I like the Armadillo. I already tore through a DG skid in less than a year. The Armadillo is 1/4 inch aluminum. You basically get what you pay for.

I like my PRM well enough. I bolted it on over a year ago and have not had to think about it since. They cost $90.
I did notice the other day that the chain is starting to remove the UHMW guide that is riveted to the plate... we'll see if that becomes a problem in the future.
