How do i get Videos off My video camera on my PC

We really need to know what camera you have, if it's a digital video format then it's easy. If it's analog then your going to have to spend some cash and the quality will never be great.

firewire card?
If you have windows XP and the card, just plug your camera in (presuming it's digital such as a Sony Digital HandyCam) turn it on VTR or Play mode and XP picks it right up and can even be set to automatically start Windows Movie Maker

OK I have the same question, I have a Canon ZR 70, MiniDV camera. I have two XP computers, I can get short little video clips off the memory card into the computer easy but how do I get the long full size videos in?

How new is your computer? I would check in your device manager for an IEEE 1394 Host Controller .. if that's present and working, then chances are good that you have an onboard firewire connection. The next thing you need is the connecting cable. I'm pretty sure all the new "media centre" pc's have the firewire connections.
I just transferred the video I shot while down in Florida at Universal and Disney. I used the highest setting available to me and for the little more than an hours video it took up 15GB of disk spack
I peiced it all together and wrote it back to an avi file at 2MBps and it compressed down to 1GB.
Check your local PC shop for a "Firewire cable" if you find your machine already has the card.
